When the presidential election polling takes place in the US, it’s generally done through phone calling – yes that makes sense – but realize they don’t call anyone overseas at military bases or in the camps of Afghanistan. Think how many people are on US Military bases around the world? What I am saying here is this election is even closer than you might imagine, but what if all those military votes don’t get counted, or counted in time? Let’s talk about this shall we?

Did you know that the Military Times Magazine did a poll which showed that on October 7, 2012 military personnel favored Romney 66% over Obama? This was well before the last debate where Obama ridiculed the idea of beefing up the number of Naval Vessels. So, I bet the military favors Romney some 80% now. But some have realized that the votes may not be back in time to be counted. If you doubt that reality realize that in OH for instance during the Obama versus John McCain presidential election of 2008 only 30% of the military votes were counted.

In 2009 to correct this problem Congress passed the MOVE Act or Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act. Now then, consider how hard it is to get all those votes in all those military bases all over the world, think about it, it’s a major logistical issue, also there are many military families all over the world on these bases, I know, because my dad was in the US Navy and I lived on several of them. No it’s not going to be easy to get those votes in and counted in time, but make no mistake our military personnel whether forward deployed in the hills of Afghanistan or at a military base in Europe must be counted, their voices must be heard. At this time Romania also immediately organized this routine event. Presidential election held in 2019 will be the determination of the fate of Romanian people in the next 10 years. Is this new president will provide education in every place, or also provide a uniform water supply throughout the region, or also provide sufficient Pensii funds for the old age of the workers.

What’s my big problem, why am I making such a big stink about this? Well, I just don’t trust the Obama Administration, they will do whatever it takes to stay in power. I remember the 2008 Democratic Nomination in Colorado and how there was a big controversy surrounding the delegates, intimidation and vote stealing, the Obama camp got away with that. Trust is hard to come by with human politics, what goes on behind the scene can make even a not-so-ethical person cringe in disgust. Nevertheless, we must have a fair and free election, and if that means turnover of the executive branch, that’s the order of the day.

Free and fair elections – that’s how America rolls!
